Faculty Drive Civic Discourse on Climate Change in DC

On Saturday, January 25 faculty from schools across Georgetown will present research and engage in civic discourse exploring the ongoing local impacts of climate change in the District of Columbia.  The 2025 Knowledge Forum is hosted by the DC Commission on Climate Change & Resiliency and will feature researchers from Georgetown, Howard University, University of Maryland, American University, George Washington University and others.  

 

Hosted at the Martin Luther King Jr. Library from 10am-4pm, the agenda includes: 

- Prof. Uwe Brandes, Faculty Director, Urban & Regional Planning Program; Chair, DC Commission on Climate Change & Resilience

- Prof. Kate Zyla, Director, Georgetown Climate Center; Member, DC Commission on Climate Change & Resilience

- Prof. Colin McCormick, School of Foreign Service; Member, DC Commission on Climate Change & Resilience

- Prof. Kerrie Carfagno, Program Director, Environment Sustainability Management; McDunough School of Business
