The Georgetown Environmental Law Society and the Georgetown Environmental Law Review will present their annual symposium on April 16, 2019. This year's theme is The Role of Environmental, Land Use, and Housing Law in Washington, DC Property Development. The symposium will include discussions on three general topics: 1) Historic Preservation Law, 2) a Case Study of Community Planning and Climate Change Resiliency in Ward 7, and 3) Environmental and Housing Issues in Large-Scale Public/Private Property Developments. Panelists will discuss policy tensions and legal issues in land use planning, environmental justice, community development, and affordable housing.
