This event features esteemed local jazz scholars Maurice Jackson and Willard Jenkins. Professor Jackson will discuss his latest publication, Rhythms of Resistance and Resilience: How Black Washingtonians Used Music and Sports in the Fight for Equality, and the co-edited volume DC Jazz: Stories of Jazz Music in Washington, DC.
