New Directions in Place Management
A Research Workshop Exploring the Role of the Professional Place Maker and Manager in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Region
Please join us at Georgetown's downtown campus from 9am-2pm for an interactive workshop exploring a new generation of professional practices associated with urban place-making and place management. This workshop kicks off a Georgetown-based research initiative entitled the Place Leadership Project, which investigates alternative modalities and governance of place management organizations across the Washington region.
Confirmed keynote speakers include Dr. Philip Sheldrake, Visiting Fellow, Georgetown Global Cities Initiative and author of The Spiritual City; and Fred Kent, founder and former CEO of Project for Public Spaces.
A detailed agenda will be made available in the coming weeks and a survey will be administered in advance of the event. A light breakfast and lunch will be served.
