As commercial districts across the Washington metropolitan region confront new challenges in a work-from-home economy, professional place managers take stock in innovative practices fostered during the public health emergency. “Making it Happen Here Now” explores this unique moment in time where place management organizations are forced to reconcile short-term strategies with long-term goals.  Leading practitioners and researchers explore how the management of the public realm fosters inclusive communities and sustainable urban places.
