GLOBAL CITIES STUDENT RESEARCH SUMMIT

On February 25th, 2022, the Georgetown Global Cities Initiative will host its Fourth Annual Student Research Summit where students from across University come together to present their urban and place-based research. GGCI Research Summit provide a venue for undergraduate and graduate students from all schools to present their research on urban topics, receive feedback from outside experts, and build a peer network of support.
Following opening remarks from Professor Uwe Brandes, Faculty Director of the GGCI, students will offer brief presentations on their work pertaining to cities divided in three panels: Community Health & Equity, Culture & Community, and Global Urbanization. Responses and comments will be offered by Georgetown faculty members and researchers. The Summit will take place in-person, with the option of joining virtually. The event will be followed by an optional reception to celebrate the work of the students.
