As cities around the world race to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, the frameworks for advancing and evaluating the sustainability of cities remain in a state of critical debate. In this session, Prof. Uwe Brandes, chair of the District of Columbia's Commission on Climate Change & Resiliency will present the findings of the Commission's Second Report to which three Georgetown faculty and several students contributed. Representatives from local, regional and international organizations will offer their perspectives on how the District of Columbia is responding to this global crisis.
