Building on deep ties between Washington, D.C. and Tokyo, the Tokyo Open Lab facilitates dialogue and exchange on place-based research in each city.  Whether better understanding the cultural impact of the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C. or gaining insight into historic preservation practices in Tokyo's neighborhoods, the Tokyo Open Lab seeks to activate Georgetown's faculty and students in urban research.
