The Georgetown Global Cities Initiative seeks interested Georgetown students from all schools and degree programs to apply for the year-long Scholars Program. The Scholars Program is a student cohort advancing urban research projects. It is an opportunity to build peer-to-peer networks and participate in critical discourse on cities with faculty and special guests. Last year's cohort of Scholars travelled to Philadelphia, and visited the World Bank and the Downtown DC Business Improvement District.
The Scholars program begins in October 2024 and finishes in April 2025. Scholars are expected to participate in 2-3 thematic meetings each semester. Scholars are encouraged to reflect on their research projects and present their work at the annual Georgetown Global Cities Initiative Student Research Summit in the spring of 2025.
