Sean is the cofounder and former chair of HOK IMPACT. In his work, he leads the sustainable design practice in HOK’s Pacific region and coordinates performance design services across the firm. He obtained his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Notre Dame, his Master of Science in Sustainable Development from the Catholic University of America, and he was a Graduate Researcher at Oxford.
With more than 15 years of experience across North America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia, Sean champions the integration of building simulation as a design driver to inspire form, performance, and stakeholder health and well-being. By advancing firm-wide research efforts in innovative building systems, fabrication, parametric design and biomimicry, he discovers simple solutions to complex problems.
